Games from 100HP

100HP’s catalogue revolves around crash and casual games, and looking through it gives me a strong feeling that I’ve seen some of this before. Swipe Girls looks like someone opened Tinder and thought, “We could add gambling to this.” Hotline Money immediately brings Hotline Miami to mind. Then there’s Tappy Bird with its resemblance to Flappy Bird, and Crime Empire with its GTA vibes. You probably get the idea.

Overall, I find some of their ideas interesting, but I’m not a huge fan of this habit of feeding off games and products that someone else has already made famous. The awkward part is that these familiar themes are exactly what got me interested in 100HP’s games in the first place. So yes, I’m complaining about the same thing that made me pay attention.
