A brief review
I first saw this slot on Roshtein’s streams after I started getting into streaming in general. Back then, he was doing so-called bonus hunt runs in this very slot. At the time, this slot felt new, fresh and innovative to me. I wasn’t that into slots back then and hadn’t seen anything more interesting than “land three scatters, get 10 free spins with no extra features”.
Bonus game
I’ll be honest with you: for me, this slot only gets interesting when a bonus round triggers. But not just any bonus round will do here. The slot has three bonus rounds, each with its own volatility. The Great Train Robbery is the most useless of the bunch. The other two, Duel at Dawn and Dead Man’s Hand, have some very interesting mechanics.
In Duel at Dawn, two cowboys with multipliers can appear on a reel. The winning cowboy’s multiplier is applied to the entire reel.
In Dead Man’s Hand, you start with three spins on a resetting counter. You use these spins to build up a multiplier and collect Wilds. During the final three spins, the collected Wilds are added to random positions on each spin, and the accumulated multiplier applies to all wins.
Both bonus rounds have huge potential, but there are a couple of catches. First, you’ll probably blow your entire bankroll before you land either one. Second, there’s the classic “8 out of 10 are dead spins, and the last two give you 10x your bet as a consolation prize”.
Conclusion
No conclusion here. I’ve seen so much of this slot on streams that I’m sick of it and now try to steer clear of it.
